The fund seeks to develop capital by investing in securities in accordance with Islamic Sharia provisions of companies listed in the Kuwait Stock Exchange, and the capital markets of the Gulf Cooperation Council States to generate competitive returns at an acceptable level of risk. The fund manager is also entitled to invest in instruments issued or guaranteed by the Governments of the Gulf Cooperation Council States at the time of investment and/or other security funds, debt instruments, or other funds or cash markets that are Sharia compliant. The fund aims to distribute yearly dividends in compliance with profit.
The fund offer in treasury bills, government bonds, local corporate bonds, certificates of deposit, Islamic sukuk, debt instrument funds and money market funds, and investing the surplus in Deposits and call accounts for better returns than the bank interest returns for a period of three months on the Kuwaiti dinar by investing.

The traditional Wafra Fund looks for companies with good performance with stable returns listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange (Boursa Kuwait Company), distributed over various economic sectors, and invests in debt instrument funds, money market funds, bonds or sukuk issued by the State of Kuwait or its guarantees.

Mr. Al Sane has 20+ year experience in investment, portfolio management and fund management. He has MS in Civil Engineering from Kuwait University and has joined Wafra in 2000, achieving SVP of Local and Regional Investments Sector. He’s currently on the board of Pioneers Holding (Egypt) and was the Chairman of the Board of Sanam Real Estate and Afaq Educational Company, and former board member at Salam Bvonian Development (Qatar).
Mr. Al Hajeri has 20+ year in management, financial planning, business and product development, building long-lasting relationships with investors and institutions. He has BS in Finance from the University of Denver, and has joined Wafra’s team in 2019 as Chief Executive Officer. He’s also on the board of GFH Financial Group, Pure Harvest Smart Farms and Future Investment Company.

CEO and co-founder of Spare. Prior to founding Spare, Dalal worked as an investment manager at Global Investment House’s private equity team, where she helped a variety of companies across the Middle East increase their value by turning around their operations, restructuring management, and redefining their product offering. Before that, Dalal worked in hedge fund investing.
Dalal is a full-stack web developer and is passionate about technology and education. She holds an MBA from London Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance and Economics) from Babson College.
Mr. Al Matroul has a 12+ year experience in banking and investment. He’s currently a Board Member at WIIC in addition to being the Fixed Income Department Head at the Public Institution for Social Security.
He holds an MSc in Finance from Florida International University (United States) and BSc in Accounting from George Washington University (United States). He previously worked at the National Bank of Kuwait and Boubyan Bank.

Mrs. Al Zaabi has 15+ year experience in human resource management, and currently is a Board Member at WIIC and Gravitas Real Estate Portfolios (London)
and the Head of Human Resources Sector at the Public Institution for Social Security.
She holds a BBA from the University of Kent (United Kingdom) and previously worked as an Assistant Manager at Ernst & Young, an HR Business Partner at Gulf Bank and as a Recruitment & Manpower Planning Manager at Commercial Bank of Kuwait.
Mr. Al Kandari has 15+ year in investment and currently is the Deputy Chairman of the Board at WIIC and also Chief Investment Officer at the Liquid Sector of the Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS).
He holds an MBA from California State University at Chico. Al Kandari started his career at Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and later held various senior positions at Al Mal Investment Company and Dima Capital.
Mr. Al Nusif has 25+ year in investment management and currently is the Chairman of the Board at WIIC, in addition to Deputy Director for Investment and Operations at the Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS).
He has a BBA in Accounting from Kuwait University, and previously held the position of Chief Investment Officer and Equities & Portfolio Investment Department at PIFSS. He also participated in Kuwait Investment Authority’s graduate training program, and later joined Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development where he became Deputy Director for the Investment Department.
