The fund seeks to develop capital by investing in securities in accordance with Islamic Sharia provisions of companies listed in the Kuwait Stock Exchange, and the capital markets of the Gulf Cooperation Council States to generate competitive returns at an acceptable level of risk. The fund manager is also entitled to invest in instruments issued or guaranteed by the Governments of the Gulf Cooperation Council States at the time of investment and/or other security funds, debt instruments, or other funds or cash markets that are Sharia compliant. The fund aims to distribute yearly dividends in compliance with profit.
The fund offer in treasury bills, government bonds, local corporate bonds, certificates of deposit, Islamic sukuk, debt instrument funds and money market funds, and investing the surplus in Deposits and call accounts for better returns than the bank interest returns for a period of three months on the Kuwaiti dinar by investing.
The Fund lead to an increase in the investor earnings by investing in the banking sector among the GCC region; at the same time, many economic indicators confirm that this sector is the most growing and secure sector for operating profits. In addition, the Fund received many awards in 2019 from the Refinitiv Foundation.
The traditional Wafra Fund looks for companies with good performance with stable returns listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange (Boursa Kuwait Company), distributed over various economic sectors, and invests in debt instrument funds, money market funds, bonds or sukuk issued by the State of Kuwait or its guarantees.

Ahmad Albader is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Wafra International, with over a decade of experience in institutional investing across global markets. At the Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS), he serves in the Private Equity Department as a Supervisor, where he helps oversee global fund investments and manage international partnerships.
He also represents PIFSS on the boards of North Africa Holding Company and serves on the advisory committees of several global private equity funds. Ahmad began his career at the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Tampa

Mr. Mohammad Nasser Al-Marzouq has nearly 16 years of professional experience in the Investment and Academic sectors and is currently a Professor – Accounting Department – at College of Business Administration – Kuwait University.
In addition to Mr. Al-Marzouq Independent membership at Wafra International Investment Company Board of Directors, he is also a member of Audit, Nomination & Remuneration and Risk Committees.
Previously, Mr. Al-Marzouq held positions at Aayan Capital Investment Company, Aayan Leasing and Investment Company and RSM Albazie & Co. (Kuwait Auditing Office) and a board member of the Ajyal National Educational Company.
On the academic level, the member holds a Bachelor’s and master’s degree in Accounting from University of San Diego – USA, and a PH.D in Accounting from the University of Nebraska – USA.

يمتلك السيد/ محمد ناصر المرزوق خبرة مهنية تتجاوز الــ 16 عاماً في القطاعين الاستثماري والأكاديمي، ويشغل حالياً وظيفة دكتور جامعي بهيئة التدريس قسم المحاسبة كلية العلوم الإدارية في جامعة الكويت، كما يشغل حالياً منصب عضو مجلس إدارة – مستقل – في شركة وفرة للإستثمار الدولي، وأيضاً عضو بالعديد من اللجان المنبثقة من مجلس الإدارة ومنهم لجنة التدقيق، لجنة الترشيحات والمكافآت ولجنة المخاطر.
وقد شغل في السابق وظائف في شركة أعيان كابيتال للإستثمار وشركة أعيان للإجارة والإستثمار، كما في عمل في مكتب بدر البزيع للتدقيق المحاسبي، وشغل منصب عضو مجلس إدارة في شركة أجيال الوطنية التعليمية.
وعلى المستوى الأكاديمي فهو حاصل على شهادتي البكالوريوس والماجستير في المحاسبة من جامعة ساندييقو في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، وحاصل على شهادة الدكتوراة في المحاسبة من جامعة نبراسكا في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.

Mr. Al Sane has 20+ year experience in investment, portfolio management and fund management. He has MS in Civil Engineering from Kuwait University and has joined Wafra in 2000, achieving SVP of Local and Regional Investments Sector. He’s currently on the board of Pioneers Holding (Egypt) and was the Chairman of the Board of Sanam Real Estate and Afaq Educational Company, and former board member at Salam Bvonian Development (Qatar).

Mr. Al Matroul has a 12+ year experience in banking and investment. He’s currently a Board Member at WIIC in addition to being the Fixed Income Department Head at the Public Institution for Social Security.
He holds an MSc in Finance from Florida International University (United States) and BSc in Accounting from George Washington University (United States). He previously worked at the National Bank of Kuwait and Boubyan Bank.

Mr. Abdullah Mohamad Ali AlGhamin AlMutairi has around 30 years of experience in Administration and Financial Affairs, and currently is the Chairman of Wafra International Investment Company. Mr. Abdullah is presently holding a position of Acting Deputy General Manager for Finance & Administration at the Public Institution For Social Security.
Mr. Abdullah holds a Master’s degree in Asian studies majoring in studies and research in political and economic sciences from Zagazig University – Egypt, and a Bachelor’s degree in commerce majoring in economics from Kuwait University and previously worked at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
